Vehicle Recovery Driver (Part-Time)

Our client, Taupo Towing, run our regions longest operating towing and salvage company. This is a part time role which includes weekend and the possibility of on-call work, based in Taupo.

We are keen to welcome into our clients Taupo team, a weekend recovery driver to provide roadside assistance, breakdown and accident tows using our slide deck transporter.

Here's a bit of what you'll do:
Respond to weekend callouts promptly
Provide vehicle recovery for our customers within the Taupo and Central Plateau area,
Be the first point of contact for customers who are in distress and need assistance with vehicle collection
Assist customers to obtain personal belongings from collected vehicles
Complete job cards ensuring all relevant details are obtained before leaving depot to provide roadside assistance
Deal with police and emergency services and assist insurance companies and assessors in regards to crashed or impounded vehicles held in possession

You must at minimum hold a clean Class 2 licence, if you have a V endorsement that's even better. You must able to pass a preliminary police check, be physically fit, a team player and have some mechanical knowledge.

Applicants must have NZ residency or hold a valid NZ Work Visa and have the required licencing.
